Welcome to the Children's Ministry at First Baptist Church!  Our two main meeting times occur on Sunday mornings for Bible Study and on Wednesday evenings for Children’s Choir and Connect.  Other special events and studies happen throughout the year.

Being a kid is fun, and we believe that participating in church life should be at the top of every kid’s list of favorite weekly activities.  Interactive activities are aimed at helping the kids connect to the Bible which is at the center of every gathering.  We believe that becoming familiar with the Bible and learning what God has to say about their lives will set your child up for the most fulfilling life possible.   Our children’s program is designed to be a safe place for all children to learn the Bible.  Every worker has been screened and approved to work with children.  The children’s program includes snacks, games, crafts, teaching, and personal attention.

On Sunday mornings we meet at 9:45am in the Great Room (room 108) for an Opening Activity and at 10:00am dismiss to graded classrooms for small group time.  Our Bible study time is a chance for children to dive deeper into the Bible and explore their faith in fun and age-appropriate ways. Our hope is that they come to know the Bible as THEIR book and find ways to let the Bible speak to them today.

Most Sunday mornings, we also have Children's Worship Workshop during the 10:50am worship service for children in Kindergarten-2nd grades. The Worship Guide indicates when children are dismissed out the doors by the organ in the service. Children are picked-up in room 108. We always have worship bags in the foyer for older children and our younger worshipers on the Sunday's Worship Workshop does not meet (usually holiday weekends).

Wednesday Nights following Children’s Choirs (6:00-6:40pm), we meet from 6:40pm-7:15pm in the Children's Wing for Connect. Wednesday nights at FBC are all about connection. Connecting Kids to Christ and each other with fun, faith, service, and friends! This year, we are using a curriculum entitled Kids Can Dig the Bible to help children discover the rich treasures in the Bible. The Bible stories show how we can have a relationship with God and each other. Through the stories of God’s people, we discover how their story is our story too. Once a month, we will serve our local community or a global organization together with a hands-on Missions night.  Each week Connect is designed for each kid to have fun and encounter God.
