Adult Small Groups

womens-bible-study

We are passionate about encouraging people to enter into an intentional community, where they can gather, learn, serve, care and explore their faith in a safe and trusting environment. Belonging to a healthy small group is one way to experience the fullness of God, when we can be real and relevant with each other. Our small groups meet throughout the week in homes and on campus, with groups ranging from 6 to 12 people who meet regularly to balance the four ministry engagement initiatives (Worship, Connect, Serve, Invest).

Tuesdays

Women’s

10 AM – Gathering Room (Family Life Center) Our new study will begin on October 14. The Tuesday morning group is studying Lisa Harper’s A Jesus Shaped Life….How Biblically Sound Theology Deepens Our Relationship with God and Each Other.  Theology is a conversation about God.  One that invites us to experience God in all His fullness rather than just memorizing facts about God.  Theology is the way we connect with our Redeemer.  It’s how we remember that we are His.  And we never have to be alone.  This study will be an invitation to explore the depths of God’s character, God’s love for you, and how your relationship with Him transforms you. If you would like to join, please email Lynn Fletcher.

Wednesdays

Women’s

10:00 AM – Gathering Room (Family Life Center): The Wednesday Morning Women’s Bible study group will be starting a new study on Wednesday, October 29th.  The 4 week study is titled The Wonder of Advent.  In this study, we will spend a week studying each of the four themes of Advent: Hope, Joy, Peace, and Love. We will look at Old Testament prophecies, the Christmas story, encounters Jesus had with people during his earthly ministry, His teachings, and even promises from Revelation. This will be a meaningful study to use and reflect upon as we enter the holiday season.

For more information contact Nancy Fields nsfields@gmail.com

5:45 PM- “The Amazing Collection: The Bible Book by Book” We will begin a new section on October 15. The Gospels give us four similar but distinct accounts of Jesus the Messiah.  His birth, childhood, ministry, teaching, miracles, death, and resurrections are all handled differently by the four authors.  These books begin with the birth of Jesus Christ and concludes with God turning the world upside down.  Come join us to learn more about the Gospels through video teaching, reading, and group discussion led by Jessica Green and Amy Anderson in this five week fall course.  Questions?  Contact Jessica at rjbzgreen@bellsouth.net

Thursdays

Women’s

10 AM – Winsome Classroom. We will be studying Max Lucado’s “Because of Bethlehem”. No one expected the Messiah to come the way he did. Yet the way he came was every bit as important as the coming itself. The manger is the message. Because of Bethlehem, God knows what it’s like to be human. Because of Bethlehem, when we talk to him about tough times, he understands. He’s been there. He’s been here. Because of Bethlehem, we no longer have marks on our record…just grace.
