Exaltation Rehearsal Schedule

Rehearsal every Sunday morning from 8:30-9:30 AM

Location: FBC Orchestra Room located in the Music Wing

Exaltation Orchestra plays in the 10:50 AM Worship Service twice a month.


Mercer Crook

Interim Orchestra Director

Mercer and his lovely wife, Chris have been members at FBC since 2006. Mercer is an excellent oboist/teacher! He plays in our Exaltation Orchestra as well as in our Living Christmas Tree Orchestra. He also plays in the Northwinds Symphonic Band. Mercer earned his Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Education (Principal Instrument: Oboe) from the University of Georgia. He went on the earned his Master of Fine Arts degree in Woodwind Performance on Oboe, Flute, Clarinet and Bassoon from UGA. Mercer was the Band Director at East Hall High School for 31 years. Following that, he taught for 10 years in the music program at Gainesville State College (now University of North Georgia). We are extremely excited to have someone of his expertise and dedication to our Lord to direct our Exaltation Orchestra.

Sarah Dunn graduated from North Georgia College and State University in 2011 with a B.S. in Music Education, as well as, graduating from the University of North Georgia in 2013 with an M.M. in Trumpet Performance. She is currently the Band Director at Little Mill Middle School in Forsyth County, and is in her 6th year of teaching. Sarah has been blessed to be able to perform with the Exaltation Orchestra since 2008, and also performs with various community groups including Northwinds Symphonic Band and occasionally the Toccoa Symphony Orchestra and the Toccoa Jazz Orchestra.
