Food Drive

Collection Dates: March 19th and 26th

COLLECTION LOCATIONS: Reception Area, Chapel Vestibule, Sanctuary Vestibule

As a part of our observance of Lent, our church is sponsoring a food drive to benefit the Community Food Pantry on Oak Street. We are one of the five local churches that support and operate this pantry, distributing food directly to those in need in our area.

How you can help:

1. Fill a bag with groceries and bring it to church on Sunday March 19th or Sunday March 26th. Shopping lists and grocery bags will be handed out after services on Sunday, March 5th and Sunday March 12th, and will also be available at the reception desk.

2. If you prefer to make a financial donation, make your check out to First Baptist Church, and write “Community Food Pantry” on the memo line.  Drop it in the collection plate.

3. Please pray for those in our community who struggle with food insecurities.

MOST NEEDED ITEMS: MEDIUM SIZES AND UNBREAKABLE CONTAINERS WORK BEST. BEEF STEW (CANNED), CHILI WITH MEAT SAUCE, BEEF RAVIOLI, CHICKEN (CANNED), TUNA (CANNED), PEANUT BUTTER, CEREAL, INSTANT OATMEAL, MAC N’ CHEESE (BOXED), TOOTHPASTE, BATH SOAP, TOILET TISSUE, LAUNDRY DETERGENT.
