BODY STEWARDS (BEGINNING OF EACH NEW YEAR)

Body Stewards is a program designed to help you live out God’s call to be a good steward of your body. We will equip you with everything you need to succeed in becoming as healthy in mind, body and spirit. We are called to rest, care for our bodies, consume healthy options, and use our bodies for good as disciples of Christ. Our modern society is faced with many challenges to fulfill this call. Body Stewards is a way to look at your habits, to correct where needed, and to achieve your goals. This is the beginning of a new, healthier lifestyle.
Kick-Off & Free Preview Class January 8th, 2018 @ 6 PM
6 weeks: January 8th-February 15th, 2018
Cost: $75/FLC member, $95/non-FLC member
Group Workouts: Mon-Tues-Thurs at 6:00pm at the FLC
This intensive program includes:
- nutrition coaching
- exercise coaching & classes
- a before & after evaluation
- weekly check-ins
- your personal log book
COUCH POTATO TO 5K (EACH SUMMER TO PREPARE FOR FLC 5K)
Kick-off on Monday, July 24th: Meet in the lobby of the FLC.
Training from July 24th-September 21st: Monday-Tuesday-Thursday @ 6:00 PM. Children's FREE fitness program (through the FLC's Kids at Play initiative) will meet at the same time so bring the kids and exercise together!
Children will play fun games to keep them moving and start them on the right track for an active life! The FLC's first annual be grateful 5K + 1 Mile Walk/Run in celebration of the life of Kelli Pirkle will be held Saturday, September 23rd to round out the program.
A Family Carnival will also be added to the event this year! You must register for the Couch Potato program separately from the race.

This program is designed to teach those who have never run before or who have taken a break. This is a great way to have accountability for your cardio routine and get outdoors with friends and your kids! Over 90 new runners have completed their first ever 5K race (3.1 miles) in only 9 weeks with the couch potato method. We integrate running with walking to get you across the finish line in a healthy, sustainable way.
