Souls to the Street
When- October 22, 2016
Where- Youth Center at First Baptist Church
The women’s ministry at First Baptist takes seriously Jesus’ call to love our neighbor. Many of our women throughout the church serve God’s people globally while others feel called to serve our local community. Souls to the Street is our chance to go out into the community as a united body of women and truly love our neighbors by serving local non-profits for the day. We paint, clean, organize, plant flowers, put together care packages, assemble food boxes – whatever an agency needs, we do our best to take care of it.
Souls to the Street is one way you can “go on mission” without traveling across the globe. Join us October 22nd as we serve organizations such as Gainesville Action Ministries, Gateway Domestic Violence Center, Georgia Mountain Food Bank, The Guest House, Habitat for Humanity, Rahab’s Rope, and other organizations that work daily to make life better for the people in our community and around the world. Whether you only have an hour to spare that day or can donate your entire morning, come be a part of this exciting day in the life of our women’s ministry. Our day will begin with a light breakfast before we ask God’s blessings on our labors and head out to our posts. You may choose the team you would like to work on, or we will be happy to plug you in wherever you’re needed if you have no preference.
